Row80 Weds check-in and the plank . . .

Not sure where to start. Except this Weds check-in for Row80 will be short. Tuesday, I started a new exercise class and hit the 'plank.' Trust me, don't do this beautiful, strong pose on your first day if you are a writer.

Left wrist sprained. Lots of pain. I'm taking the next week off from blogging (not writing) with all the usual (ice, anti-inflammatory, wrist brace).

Writing goals met. I just want to affirm that the process of sharing your work and reading it aloud with a small group is invaluable. Thank you, Annette and Sandy.

Community/marketing goals: Didn't post WIPpet this week, but I'll be reading you Wednesday WIPpet guys HERE and all you ROW80 writers HERE

My special BookBub deal has been moved out to January 15. Two book reviews done. Decluttering continues everywhere. What amazing progress, except those e-mails in my inbox still hover around 300 and I'm behind.

What was it that Mac said in Standing Stones? "Bend. Don't break." And another favorite Scottish proverb:  "When one door closes, another opens." May your week go well.

  1. I'm sorry to hear that doing the "plank" did not work out for you. I have been doing different variations of it for about a year and it is my favorite exercise.

Just take it easy and get that wrist healed.

    1. Thank you, Chris. I'm now prepared with wrist braces for both the right and the left hand. I'll stay in the class but will modify when it comes to the 'plank'. At least I can type! May your exercises and holidays bring you joy.

  3. I could do the Warped Plank pretty well - you know, the one where all points are out of line, and several points are resting on the floor, while others, like my butt, are up in the air? Yeah. That one's also known as the Smushed Earthworm, I think. It certainly involves a lot of writhing to get up from, in any case. ;-)

I hope your wrist heals up soon! And congratulations on your BookBub deal, even if they are moving it on you. Hey, at least you *got* a BookBub deal to be moved on you, right? :-D

    1. Tammy, that sounds like my kind of yoga. The wrist is coming along (at least I can type now a little). I'm excited about BookBub and will give more info when we get closer to the date. It's my first foray into this kind of marketing, so thanks for the good wishes.

  4. Always seems to pile up, the emails anyway, or the dishes. ;-)

Hope your wrist mends quickly, Beth!

    1. Thanks for your good wishes, Cindy. I think those e-mails replicate on purpose, but I'm usually finding such interesting info from those weekly newsletters that it's hard to unsubscribe. Rather not think about dishes entirely. :)

  5. I hope your wrist would get better. I think you would probably need one of those software that you speak and the text appears.
